But they call me Bo. I help men overcome anxiety, build real self-esteem, and let go of the emotional patterns that keep them stuck.
My work draws on personal and clients' experience, ancient contemplative traditions, modern neuroscience, and psychology.
For 16+ years, I've been on a personal growth and spiritual journey
From
My parents wanted the best for me. But their inability to express emotions, my mother's anxious nature, and my father's explosions of anger left me with social anxiety from early on. I was the shy one. The quiet one. I didn't have many friends. My whole life quietly organized itself around an anxiety I wasn't even aware of — one I'd never have let myself feel. And above all, I learned to live for approval instead of from what was actually true for me.
I became a chameleon. I adapted to whoever I was with. Underneath it, there was no stable sense of who I was — or where I belonged. What I actually wanted, underneath the performance, was authenticity and real connection. I just didn't know how to reach them.
I studied architectural engineering because I blindly followed my father's footsteps. I didn't know what else I would do. I had no purpose, no direction, and a clear inner knowing that the path was wrong — but I followed it anyway.
What kept me alive was a passion for personal growth.
Soon after starting university, I stumbled into a kind of underground community of men working on themselves — what was then called the 'pickup' community. I don't resonate with that approach to women or dating anymore, but it was my doorway into personal and spiritual growth. From there, I never stopped.
By every external measure, I was doing well. I had a beautiful girlfriend. I was finishing my PhD. I held a leadership role at an international engineering company. I'd gone deep into fitness — I was ripped, I'd earned a personal-trainer certification while still working in engineering, and was considering becoming a fitness coach. I had a morning routine I followed with engineering precision: meditation, exercise, journaling, breathwork.
Underneath it, I was chasing freedom anywhere I could find it. I traveled to more than 20 countries. I went skydiving. I trained and earned a paragliding pilot license — anything to feel free externally, because I didn't feel free internally. It was only when I started the inner work, not long after, that I understood the freedom I was chasing had been inside me all along.
And yet, after all of it — and ten years of personal growth — I was still anxious, disconnected, and performing for approval.
Then, just when I thought I'd finally settle down, my girlfriend left me. Seemingly out of nowhere. That breakup became the crack that made me question everything.
Who am I?
What do I actually want to do with my life?
What's my purpose?
Where are my real gifts?
What kind of impact do I want to have?
I started looking inward in a different way. The engineering path wasn't right for me — but my job allowed me to invest seriously in my own growth, and I did.
A few months after the breakup, I came across two books that changed my trajectory: Power vs Force and Letting Go by David Hawkins. Synchronistically, a workshop teaching the letting go practice was happening in the city I lived in. I signed up. My life was never the same.
With the releasing practice, I dissolved a lifelong social anxiety in one day.
With the anxiety gone, I started facing my fears — and grew exponentially. I joined Toastmasters and overcame my fear of public speaking. The real breakthrough came at an ecstatic dance — for the first time in my life, I danced completely freely, with nothing holding me back. I took up salsa classes and learned to lead — to step into the masculine role. I found a swimming coach who taught me to release tension in the water, and swam open-water distances I'd once have thought impossible. I joined an improv class to rediscover my spontaneity and the playful part of me I'd lost touch with.
I became an engineer by day and a spiritual seeker by evenings and weekends.
Over years of study, practice, and integration, I trained with — among others:
I also did plant medicine ceremonies:
They were peak experiences I couldn't have reached otherwise. But the real work always happened afterward — in integrating them, and eventually learning to get there on my own, without anything external.
After years of going wide, I came back to a few fundamentals — the ones that had created the biggest shifts in the first place. This time I went deeper: refining the practices, understanding what actually made them work, and tracing the releasing technique back to its origin in the work of Lester Levenson, who became something of a mentor to me through his original teachings, even though he was long gone. I integrated the best of everything else around that core. That integration, refined through years of ongoing study and real-world practice, became my method.
Eventually, I started sharing what I was learning on Twitter, built an audience, and quit my engineering job to do this work full-time.
We're not short on information. We're short on wisdom — and on the courage to be who we actually are.
My purpose is to help men embody who they are instead of performing who they think they need to be. To help them live from their own truth without apology. To raise collective consciousness. And to make the kind of inner work I needed accessible to the people who are ready for it.
This work is part of something larger I'm building — a mission to raise consciousness and help build a better world for the next generation. It's taking shape across a few fronts: free group release meditations, an online and in-person community (including my men's group here in Prague), 1:1 work with heart-centered coaches and creators ready to share their gifts, and — further down the road — an off-grid community rooted in this way of living. If any of that resonates, you're the kind of person I want to know.
Pick a time and we'll look at where you actually are and whether we're a good fit to work together. No sales pitch.
